How to Troubleshoot a Carrier RV Air Conditioner Unit
Traveling in the hot summer months or through the dry desert can make you truly appreciate the Carrier air conditioning in your RV. Carrier air conditioners cool, dehumidify and filter air. If you experience trouble with a Carrier air conditioner, whether it is your RV or house, you can troubleshoot your air conditioner to not only avoid replacing the unit or paying for costly repairs, but to also get the cool air running to keep everyone in your RV comfortable and happy.

1
Set the air conditioning thermostat to cool. Sometimes the switch can be bumped while traveling or people are moving through the unit.
-
2
Turn on the power. If the power running to the air conditioner is not on, you will not get cold air. Also check that the circuits are not blown.
-
-
3
Check that the furnace blower motor is on and running.
-
4
Change the air filter. A dirty air filter can cause the unit to be clogged and not run.
-
5
Move furniture so the air grilles are not blocked. The air registers must be open as well.
