Liberty, Texas vs. Liberty, Oklahoma: Which One Did You Mean?

There is no city named Liberty in Texas. (There is a Liberty County, TX, northeast of Houston — county seat is Liberty, but it's a city — actually, Liberty, TX exists as the county seat of Liberty County, ~45 mi NE of Houston. My earlier statement was incorrect.)

Let's clarify both:

Liberty, Texas

• Location: Liberty County, SE Texas, on Trinity River.
• Distance to Oklahoma City: ~430 miles (690 km), ~6.5 hours via I-45 N → I-35 N / US-69 N.

Liberty, Oklahoma

• Location: Sequoyah County, near Fort Smith, AR border.
• Distance to Oklahoma City: ~206 miles (330 km), ~3 hours via I-40 W.

Which Is Relevant?

If you're in Oklahoma context, likely Liberty, OK (206 mi). If Texas Gulf Coast, Liberty, TX (430 mi). Specify state for accurate distance.
