Palestine Had No Ambassador to the United Arab Republic (1940–1948)

During the period 1940–1948, Palestine was under the British Mandate and did not exist as an independent sovereign state. Consequently, it had no diplomatic corps, no foreign ministry, and no ambassadors accredited to any country, including the United Arab Republic (which itself was formed later, in 1958).

Diplomatic representation for the Palestinian people on the international stage emerged only after the establishment of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) in 1964 and later the Palestinian Authority in the 1990s.
