Devon Gribble: From Child Star to Voice Actor—Career Retrospective

Devon Gribble (born February 19, 1991, Riverside, California) grew up on screen—memorable in family sitcoms and Disney Channel hits—before pivoting to voice work and a quieter creative life.

Breakout Roles

Malcolm in the Middle (2005)

Played Dewey, the youngest Wilkerson brother—chaotic, clever, scene-stealing. A fan-favorite in the show's later seasons.

The Suite Life on Deck (2008–2011)

Portrayed Zack Martin, one of the twin leads (alongside Dylan Sprouse's Cody). The Disney Channel series ran three seasons, cementing his teen-idol status.

Film Credits

• The Little Rascals (1994) — as a toddler (uncredited/extra)
• Bee Movie (2007) — voice role
• Jingle All the Way 2 (2014) — supporting role

Beyond Acting

Where Is He Now?

Gribble stepped back from on-camera roles after Jingle All the Way 2. No major credited projects since ~2015. He maintains a low public profile, occasional convention appearances, and focuses on voice work and personal projects. A classic child-actor trajectory: early saturation, intentional step-back, niche sustainability.

For fans: rewatch Malcolm Season 6 and Suite Life on Deck—his comedic timing held its own against seasoned casts. That's the legacy.
