Art Deco Hotels in England

Staying at a hotel that has Art Deco architecture can make you feel like you've traveled back to another era. The style was popular worldwide in the first half of the twentieth century, and relied on clean lines, geometric shapes and influences from throughout the ancient world. Due to its popularity, it's no surprise Art Deco architecture found its way to hotels throughout England.

    Claridge's

    • Claridge's is found in the heart of London, next to Grosvenor Square, just a short walk to the west from Hyde Park. Though the hotel was built midway through the 19th century, it was thoroughly redesigned at the end of the 1920s and beginning of the 1930s to become the Art Deco hotel it still is today. Any new additions to the hotel since then work to maintain the Art Deco style. Each room features modern amenities such as a flat-screen television and high-speed wireless internet. Some rooms and suites have been decorated by fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg. The hotel offers two different bars, Claridge's Bar and The Fumoir. It also has three different restaurants, The Foyer and The Reading Room, both of which serve afternoon tea, and the world-class Gordon Ramsay at Claridge's.
