Battersea is a district in south-west London, England, located on the south bank of the River Thames. It is situated east of Chelsea and north of Wandsworth, about 4 miles (6.4 km) south-west of Charing Cross. Battersea is bounded by the River Thames to the north, Nine Elms Lane and Battersea Park Road to the east, Clapham Junction to the south, and Wandsworth Common to the west. The area forms part of the London Borough of Wandsworth.
