The Croft Institute is tucked back in a Chinatown alley with an unsavory aroma. But in spite of the difficult-to-find location, or perhaps because of it, Croft is one of Melbourne's most exciting venues for Hip Hop, Drum & Bass and House. The multiple levels and dance floors at Croft are festooned with old medical equipment, creating a creepy-but-cool atmosphere. Croft Alley is off Little Bourke Street between Exhibition and Russell.
