The Good Sam Club is one of the largest RV clubs in the United States, with chapters in multiple geographic areas. Members of the club receive discounts at over 1,500 campgrounds throughout the country. Club officers annually inspect and establish a rating for all campgrounds that offer membership discounts. Escapees RV Club is geared primarily to people who live year round in their recreational vehicles. While the club focuses on issues an events that may appeal most to folks living the RV lifestyle full-time, "wannabes" and commercial membership are also available. Each year the club hosts a "boot camp" to teach novice full-time RV'ers the the basics of living an untethered life. In addition to receiving Escapees magazine and special events, the club also serves as a post office for members while they are traveling the open road. Club members receive 50 percent off the rental rates at 600 campgrounds in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
