Cafe Cocomo specializes in Salsa and was voted third best Salsa Club in the country by USA Today. At Club Cocomo, not only can a visitor see superb salsa dancing, but she can also take lessons from experts. This club offers a limited but extremely reasonable menu of Mexican favorites, and reservations can be made online. For special events there is a cover charge, which ranges under $15. There are coupons available online, and there is an outdoor patio for warmer weather. The club can be rented for private events and parties.

The Element lounge specializes in the stimulating the senses. There is a state-of-the-art sound system, and music varies from hip-hop and house dance music to art, live instrumental and vocal sounds and performances. Innovative cocktails are available. There is a $10 cover charge, which is waived when a group of up to 25 people reserve the Akasha Room. Other arrangements for groups can be made. There are also some special deals online, such as reduced entry cost before 11 p.m.. The Element sponsors a variety of special programs, sometimes including fundraisers, such as the one held March 6 for Haiti relief. Bix offers the ambiance of the romantic '30s and 40s arte moderne night clubs, where one can hear jazz being played in a relaxed atmosphere equal nowhere else in the city. With no cover charge, there is a bar and a supper club, where a full menu is available for all times of day. Dinner entrees start at very moderate prices, up to about $30 for lobster. Bix also sponsors private parties, where the menu can be adjusted and there is a minimum per person charge.

The Cellar is a primarily a hip-hop club, with a variety of special presentations, including Karaoke, classic hip-hop, funk & soul, reggae, R&B and Flashback Fridays, featuring the '80s sound in the main room. Very reasonably priced drinks are available, but there is no food menu. Parties can be booked here. There is a cover charge at The Cellar only on Friday and Saturday nights, when the Cellar is open until 2 am.
