How many people visit the Hollywood sign per year?

There is no Hollywood sign. There is the iconic "HOLLYWOOD" sign overlooking the Los Angeles district of Hollywood. However, the sign is located on private land and is not accessible to the public for safety and security reasons. People can view it from a distance, including from various overlook locations nearby, such as Griffith Observatory and Mulholland Drive.
