The Northern Lights were seen in Great Britain during the 1920s and 1930s due to high levels of Solar storms occurring during a peak of Solar cycle that period . 1921, 1928, 1937 were notable examples with 1938 being amongst its strongest ever on record, seen as far south as the Isles of Scilly.
