Visit The Orchards Holiday Village official website. Click on the link for the "Touring & Camping Park." Check online availability for your travel dates, as well as review photographs and video of the touring and camping park. The park is open from March 18 until Oct. 31, so plan to travel sometime during that duration.
Confirm you have the proper equipment and mode of travel. The Orchards welcomes motorhomes, tents and trailers. They do not allow pup tents. You will be setting up camp on flat, grassy areas, and the campsite area is rather small with 69 sites. While the Orchards provides electric hookups, these are standard UK campsite safety plugs -- meaning, if you need an electrical converter (3-pin), you must provide your own.
Book your reservation by entering your camp lodging information (motorhome, tent or trailer), as well as the length of your camping shelter. Select "Essex" and "Orchards" as your region and park, and then enter your arrival date and number of nights you will be staying. Finally, select the number of children, adults and infants traveling with you, and specify if you will be bringing a dog and require an awning to block the sun at your campsite.
Arrive at the Orchards with your reservation confirmation and set up camp. Get acquainted with the services onsite, which include a convenience store, gift shop, launderette and post office/ATM machines. You will also find a lounge, bar and cafe, a ferryboat-themed inn with snacks and light meals, a pizzeria, and a restaurant that allows kids to create their own meals.
Indulge in the entertainment and activities offered at the Orchards park including kids day camps, nighttime concerts and shows for teens and adults. Water activities include heated indoor and outdoor pools, as well as the beach only 5 miles away. There are also golf courses and coaching available for soccer, archery and fencing.
Camp out under the stars or snuggle up inside of your motor home. After your visit is complete, pay any outstanding fees to the Orchards' main office.
