Girls' Nightclubs in Austin, Texas

With a motto like "Keep Austin Weird," Austin, Texas has a personality all its own. It is home to a pink granite capital building and over a million Mexican free-tail bats that fly out from under the Congress Bridge and fill the sky nightly every March through November. It is also a virtual mecca of live entertainment. It is home to SXSW, the annual Music and Media Conference, and features one of the most recognizable party streets in Texas: 6th Street. Thanks to the distinct flavor of Austin, you and your gal pals have a wide variety of choices on how to spend an evening on the town.
  1. The Beauty Bar

    • If you and your girlfriends want to sip Cosmos while you get a manicure, The Beauty Bar allows a distinct and hip combination of the two. It has glittery decor inside, a smoking patio out front and a backyard space that features live music. There are 10 Beauty Bars across the country, from Los Angeles to New York. Austin's Beauty Bar is located in the Red River District on 7th Street.

    Rainbow Cattle Co.

    • One of Austin's gay premier hot spots, Rainbow Cattle Co., is a country-western dancing hall that enjoys mostly a male clientele, but opens its doors up for you and your girlfriends each week. Ladies Night begins each Thursday at 5 p.m. and lasts until 2 a.m. Dance the night away to genres like hip hop and pop. Enjoy discounted drinks while DJs spin the tunes that get you out on the dance floor.

    Pete's Dueling Piano Bar

    • Located on Austin's iconic 6th Street, Pete's Dueling Piano Bar has run a raucous good time since 1992. Here you and your girlfriends can sing, clap and participate in the entertainment while talented pianists on two baby grand pianos play anything from ABBA to Frank Sinatra, AC/DC to Eminem. Waitresses and bar staff get into the act several times a night. Private party rentals are also available.

    Momo's

    • Also located on 6th Street is Momo's, another venue for nightly live entertainment. The music available at Momo's doesn't fit in one particular niche. Whether you lean toward singer/songwriters, R&B or even bluegrass, leave it to Momo's to feature a band of your liking. Momo's outdoor deck offers a spectacular view of the Austin skyline, and smoking is permitted. If you and your girlfriends aren't quite yet 21, that poses no problem for Momo's. Those 18 and over are welcome, and those 18 and under are permitted with parents or guardians.
