What are the states in England?

There are no states in England. England is a country that is part of the United Kingdom, and the United Kingdom is not a federal state. Instead, the United Kingdom is a unitary state, which means that all power is held by the central government in London. There are, however, four countries within the United Kingdom: England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. These countries have their own governments and parliaments, but they are still subject to the authority of the central government.
