Orlando is the city where you will find resorts such as Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld Orlando. Within Walt Disney World are many points of interest such as Downtown Disney, Disney's Animal Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Epcot. Prominent theme parks in Universal Orlando Resort include Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. SeaWorld Orlando is home to a variety of marine life such as penguins, dolphins, seals, sea lions, orcas, sharks and manatees. SeaWorld also offers amusement rides and live performances by many of its trained dolphins, seals and killer whales.
Miami Beach has many attractions and an environment ideal for tourists trying to escape the cold weather. The South Beach area of Miami Beach has an abundance of shops, nightclubs and restaurants. During the day, tourists flood the beach, while at night, people can be seen dining in restaurants or partying in trendy nightspots. A Latin influence is prevalent in Miami Beach, and it is rich with diversity.
Many tourists visit Daytona Beach for the sailing, surfing and jet skiing, with many water-sports competitions held each year. From April through October, sea turtles can be seen on the coastal beaches laying their eggs. The beach area is a perfect spot for fishing, and scuba diving, freshwater fishing and deep-sea fishing are also available in the area. Tourism in Daytona increases during spring break. In addition to the many fishing and surfing activities Daytona Beach has to offer, another big attraction here is the Daytona International Speedway. The Daytona International Speedway holds the Daytona 500 cup series, which makes the town an ideal destination for racing fans.
Located in southwest Florida, Everglades National Park is the largest subtropical wilderness in North America. The Everglades are made up of about 10,000 islands and can be explored by booking an air boat tour from a surrounding city. Visitors can see alligators, birds, insects and snakes thriving in the swamps here.
Located in northwestern Florida, with clean and sandy white beaches, is Panama City Beach. Like much of Florida, the climate in Panama City Beach is subtropical, with an average temperature of 74 degrees Fahrenheit throughout most of the year. Panama City Beach is known for having one of the largest populations of bottlenose dolphins in the the world, which is one of the many attractions that lure tourists onto its beaches. Visitors can also fish here for blue marlin, red snapper, trout and cobia.
Located 82 miles west of Orlando is Tampa Bay, the third-most populous city in Florida. It is home to Busch Gardens, a world-famous animal theme park that attracts many tourists with its wild animals and amusement rides. It is also home to Adventure Island, a water theme park with many rides, outdoor cafes and gift shops. Throughout the year, Tampa Bay holds many events and festivals including the Outback Bowl in January, the Florida State Fair in February, the Florida Strawberry Festival in March, the Puerto Rican Culture Parade in April, the Guavaween Parade and Festival in October, the Ruskin Seafood & Arts Festival in November and Holiday Fest in December.
