The town has a municipal swimming pool and is home to Riverside Park Campground (wiriverside.com), located on the scenic Lemonweir River. Every year, New Lisbon hosts the Juneau County Fair and attracts thousands of visitors from all over the country.
Located 45 miles from Fort McCoy is the town of Mauston, Wisconsin (mauston.com). Situated along the shore of the Lemonweir River, it is also home to the Mauston Pumpkin Bash and the Annual Whooping Crane Festival. The River of Memories Rendezvous (wcwcw.com) is a historic early 1840s re-enactment held every October. Mauston is home to Nascar driver Kelly Bires, Medal of Honor recipient Edwin M. Truell and the NFL's Denver Broncos player Bill Lobenstein.
