Travelers of all ages can find plenty of affordable, fun activities to do in Branson, Missouri, throughout the year, but the city really shines at Christmas. Guests can enjoy festive light displays, lively musical shows, exciting shopping opportunities and an enchanting theme park. Christmas events are usually offered from the beginning of November through December, though some musical shows end two weeks before Christmas.
  1. Christmas Light Shows

    • Get the season started with a brilliant drive through the Branson Area Festival of Lights. Gather family and friends and slow down to enjoy a mile-long display on the outskirts of town. You can also enjoy the Shepherd of the Hills Trail of Lights, which includes animated displays. Both shows are available in November and December each year.

    Christmas Music

    • There's something for everyone at during the holidays in Branson. Andy Williams, or "Mr. Christmas," still performs his very popular Christmas show each season. Tony Orlando, another Branson favorite, also performs a holiday show featuring carols and beautiful costumes. Those interested in watching the traditional pageant can check out the Spirit of Christmas nativity play, which includes live animals on stage.

    Silver Dollar City

    • No visit to Branson would be complete without a day at Silver Dollar City (festivals.bransonsilverdollarcity.com), a 1800s-style theme park. Enjoy a train ride and several roller coasters during the day, or take in a production of Charles Dickens' "Christmas Carol" or the nativity pageant. At night, gather with your family and friends and enjoy the spectacular display of the Gifts of Christmas Holiday Light Parade.
