There are two passenger ship terminals in the New York City area, one in Brooklyn and the other in Manhattan. They are both relatively simple to get to from Pennsylvania Station, a major train hub in Manhattan. It has been considered one of the busiest stations in the world and most certainly in the United States, serving up to 600,000 people per day. You can walk or drive to the Manhattan Terminal as it is roughly two miles, however the Brooklyn Terminal is closer to eight.
Walk or drive northwest towards 7th Avenue on West 34th Street for 0.9 miles.
Make a right onto RT-9A North/ 12th Avenue/ West Side Highway. Proceed 1.1 miles.
Make a left onto West 55th Street.
Arrive at the cruise terminal at 12th Avenue and West 55th Street. Driving time is around five minutes, depending on traffic, while walk time is roughly 47 minutes.
Drive northwest towards 7th Avenue on West 34th Street for 0.9 miles.
Make a left onto RT-9A N/ 12th Avenue/ West Side Highway and continue to follow West Side Highway for 3.4 miles.
Take Exit 2, Battery Tunnel, towards I-278/Brooklyn and go 0.3 miles.
Get on I-478 East and continue 2.1 miles. Take Exit 26/Hamilton Avenue and make a left onto Hamilton Avenue.
Turn left onto Clinton Street and then a left onto Hamilton Avenue. Turn left onto Imlay Street and arrive at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal at the intersection of Bowne Street and Imlay Street. The driving time is 18 minutes, depending on traffic.
