Fairground Events in Napa County, California

The sprawling Napa County Fairgrounds is located in the northernmost part of Napa Valley in scenic Calistoga, California. The grounds are maintained by the Napa County Fairground Association to promote recreation in the surrounding communities. Open year-round, it offers a range of cultural and athletic activities.

  1. Napa County Fair

    • The fairgrounds are the site of the annual Napa County Fair, featuring a carnival midway, concession stands, and a cornucopia of family-friendly entertainment. The fair takes place over the 4th of July holiday weekend, when attendees celebrate with a fireworks show.

    Calistoga Campground

    • The Calistoga RV and Campground with views of Mount St. Helena is located in the fairgrounds. Campground visitors can participate in numerous outdoor activities including hiking, biking, and natural hot springs. Visitors also can take day trips to local wineries or shop in downtown Napa.

    Mount St. Helena Golf Course

    • The Mount St. Helena Golf Course on the fairgrounds is a nine-hole, par 36. The course features narrow tree-lined fairways to challenge the advanced golfer, but has a flat layout ideal for younger and novice golfers.

    Calistoga Speedway

    • The Calistoga Speedway on the fairgrounds, described as the fastest dirt track in the western U.S., hosts auto and motorcycle races, including those of the United States Auto Club and the Golden State Challenge Series.
