The Hamburg Fairgrounds is located in Hamburg, New York. The facility boasts 266 acres and is home to top events and attractions. The Fairgrounds, located 20 minutes south of Buffalo, is a unique facility with a variety of events held throughout the year. These events include boat shows, craft shows, home shows, dog shows, circus events and many holiday-themed events.
The Erie County Fair takes place each August at The Hamburg Fairgrounds and is one of the largest fairs in New York. Over 1 million guests attend each year and enjoy the many activities. These activities include the annual barbecue-pulled-pork eating contest, wine-making competition and demolition derby. The midway houses over 70 rides and games with plenty of free entertainment at the grandstand. The annual horse show has been an attraction for 43 years, bringing in riders from all over the country to compete. A large part of the fair includes farming and farm animals. Visitors can learn where many of their favorite foods come from and participate in several agricultural-related activities. The fair is jam packed full of activities and will suit all guests.

The livestock events at the Hamburg Fairgrounds have been designed for exhibitors to participate in the Show Ring prior to showing at their respective county or state fair. Exhibitors can see how their animals match other competitors prior to the show season. These "pre-season" events allow fellow exhibitors to socialize without the hectic pace of the Fair.

Artisans from North America and Europe participate each year to sell their craft in the Christmas in the Country Craft Show. The show offers a large selection of designer crafts and fine art each December. Handmade items such as jewelry, pottery, sculptures, wood furniture, candles, handbags and Christmas ornaments can be found.

Each holiday season in December, The Hamburg Fairgrounds presents The Festival of Lights, which has over 1 million dazzling lights on display. You can visit the North Pole Village and view timeless window displays with nostalgic holiday themes. Holiday characters are available for photos in a winter-village setting. You can post letters to Santa and enjoy sing-a-longs, hot chocolate and sleigh rides.
