North Creek is located in Warren County, New York, in the Glens Falls metro area. This resort area, known for it many outdoor recreational activities, hosts several events throughout the year.   1. Upper Hudson Bluegrass Festival

    • The annual Upper Hudson Bluegrass Festival is held in August. The festival, which began in 2004, takes place in Ski Bowl Park in the Adirondack mountains near the banks of the upper Hudson River. You can enjoy this four-day event that has featured musical acts such as the Cabin Fever Band, Don't Quit Your Day Job and White Mountain Bluegrass. Tickets may be purchased by mail or at the gate and as of 2010, range from $10 for an all-day ticket to $45 for an advanced all-weekend ticket.

    Gore Mountain Harvest Festival

    • Held each year in October, the Gore Mountain Harvest Festival features live music and caters to the enjoyment of the entire family. This free, two-day event features activities, games, live musical entertainment and food and drinks. You can take a gondola ride or mountain bike as well as shop for jewelry, furniture and art from Adirondack vendors. Children will enjoy wall climbing, jugglers, obstacle courses and giant slides, as well as helicopter rides.

    North Creek Art Walk

    • Hosted by the North Creek Depot Museum and a sponsoring group, the North Creek Art Walk is held each year in September. The event features a light reception for an artist at the Owens House Education Center & Gallery. In 2010, the featured artist is Hillary Fayle, whom you can meet and whose work you can view. During this free event, you can also stroll down the street from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. to experience other receptions at more than 10 businesses.
