Babylon is located on Long Island, with a population of 12,800 as of the 2009 US census. Fire Island, a barrier island to the south of the town, is a popular gay and lesbian holiday resort. Babylon itself is a cosmopolitan town and there is no shortage of eateries or catering companies.

    Pier 44

    • This eatery is a family-friendly restaurant specializing in steaks, seafood and pasta dishes. The fishing memorabilia on display and the large shark hanging from the outside are likely to fascinate (or terrorize) the youngest members of the family, while the adults have an extensive selection of wine and beer to choose from.
