The community of Kingstowne sits just off the beltway in Alexandria, Virginia. The Kingstowne area includes shopping, hiking trails, colonial landscape and fine dining. Residents can find restaurants from chic to casual that serve cuisine from Asian fare to southern comfort food and even a little live music inside the community’s gates.
The community offers a handful of fast-food restaurants for meals on the go. Papa John’s makes pizza for delivery and pickup on the east side of town, while Domino’s Pizza delivers on the west end. Toward the center of town, Burger King offer burgers and fries, while KFC serves fried chicken. Chipotle, on the west end, serves custom-made burritos. Johnny Rockets serves hamburgers, sandwiches, flavored soda, fries and shakes in a diner atmosphere.
Subway, on the east end of Kingstowne, makes sub sandwiches, while Panera Bread offers a slightly more upscale bistro-like atmosphere, with soups and sandwiches. Firehouse Subs, on the center of town, makes hot and cold sandwiches, as well as salads.
For sit-down dining, Kingstowne features well-known chain restaurants such as Romano’s Macaroni Grill, which serves pasta, steak and fish made in Italian Mediterranean style. Bonefish Grill offers steak and seafood, such as Chilean sea bass, shrimp, scallops, grouper and salmon. Noodles and Company serves Asian, American and Mediterranean noodles, including pad Thai, Tuscan linguine and mac and cheese.
A fusion bistro sushi bar, East Moon Asian Bistro offers Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese and Thai food in addition to the sushi bar. The sushi bar offers specialty rolls such as the Lucky 7, Godzilla Roll and Electric Shock Roll. Moby Dick’s House of Kebob, on the other hand, serves healthy, low-fat fast food. Other menu items include hummus, salad, baklava and sandwiches. Named for the ancient goddess of the cyclical nature of life, Aditi is an Indian restaurant. The menu features curry, chicken tandoori, lamb chops and rice pudding. The menu at King Street Blues offers comfort food with a southern twist, including hickory-smoked ribs, pulled pork and chicken, Jambalaya, salmon cakes and chicken fried steak.
Starbucks serves the traditional cup of coffee as well as blended drinks and coffee products. For the health conscious, Robeks serves fruit smoothies, some of which feature nutritional supplements.
