Romantic Colorado Vacations With Hot Tubs

From secluded and historic towns to Rocky Mountains views, Colorado offers everything a couple needs for their romantic getaway. Outdoor lovers can hit the slopes during the day and lounge in the hot tub or hot springs by night at one of the state's cabins, resorts or hotels.

  1. The Springs

    • The Springs Resort Bath House, located in Pagosa Springs, is a 79-room boutique hotel that offers 23 hot mineral pools, a saltwater swimming pool and a Jacuzzi pool. All guests are allowed unlimited, 24-hour access to any of the pools, which each offers something different. Five are jetted hot spring pools, not unlike a conventional hot tub, that overlook the mountains. Two of the 23 total pools are adult only. Aside from soaking in the mineral water, other activities in the Pagosa area include taking in the mountain sights from Pagosa Peak, horseback riding, skiing, hiking or fishing on the nearby San Juan River. Area restaurants include the Alley House Grille, JJ's Restaurant & Pub and Nello's Bistro.

The Cliff House at Pike's Peak

    • The Cliff House at Pike's Peak, located in Manitou Springs, offers 54 guest rooms and suites, many of which offer two-person spa tubs for getaway couples on romantic vacations. Other room features include gas fireplaces, mountain views, towel warmers and the option of 24-hour room service. On-site fine dining is available at the Cliff House Dining Room and Veranda Dining Room. The hotel also offers a more casual on-site dining option at the Red Mountain Bar and Grill. Aside from enjoying the resort, guests can travel to the top of nearby Pike's Peak for mountain views, explore the Cave of the Winds or enjoy the historic mountain town of Manitou Springs.

    Dunton Springs

    • The Dunton Springs log cabin resort features the most authentic type of hot tub: the all-natural kind. Encompassing an area of 0.3 square miles, the natural Dunton Hot Springs range in temperature from 85 to 106 degrees Farenheit, depending on the location. The hot springs also feature Colorado's only geyser, which bubbles up every 45 minutes. All log cabins at the resort are hand-built and designed for privacy and seclusion. Aside from relaxing in the hot springs, other activities include horseback riding, fishing, hiking and rock climbing. The on-site open Saloon provides dining for all meals of the day.

    Hotel Jerome

    • Aspen-based Hotel Jerome is a mountain resort blending modern amenities, like wireless Internet and flat-screen televisions, with traditional elegance. After hitting the ski slopes or exploring Aspen during the day, couples can relax in one of the hotel's hot tub Jacuzzis or swim in the heated pool. Guests can also take complimentary transportation to a number of area activities, including ski slopes, fishing spots and downtown Aspen shops. On-site dining options include the Garden Terrace Restaurant, J-Bar and Library. Guests can also venture out into the city for dining at restaurants like Aspen's Caribou Club and Pinons.
