Restaurant Row is a strip of restaurants in the theater district of New York City. It is located in Manhattan on 46th Street between Eighth and Ninth avenues. The "Row" features numerous upscale dining options and represents the cuisine of more than 16 countries. The Row restaurants also participate in many local food events, such as the Ninth Avenue Food Festival and Taste of New York.
Broadway Joe Steakhouse (315 W. 46th St.) has been in business for more than 50 years (as of August 2010), and specializes in New York cut prime sirloin steaks, filet mignon, prime rib, New York cheesecake, and Caesar salad.
Bourbon Street (346 W. 46th St.) is a New Orleans-style Cajun restaurant that specializes in barbecue shrimp, Bourbon steak shrimp, shrimp Creole, and crab crusted grouper.
Don't Tell Mama (355 W. 46th St.) is a piano bar, and the restaurant features what it calls new American cooking, such as New York strip steak.
Joe Allen (326 W. 46th St.) is a classic American restaurant that has been in business since 1965. It sells traditional American fare, such as pizza and hamburgers.
The House of Brews (363 W. 46th St.) is a beer pub with more than 80 beers from around the world. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner, and features a 10-ounce, char-grilled Black Angus burger.
Swing 46 (349 W. 46th St.) boasts an intimate supper-club setting, and serves food from 5 p.m. to midnight. The restaurant occasionally features live jazz music. The food ranges from pasta to steak to seafood.
Village Pourhouse (366 W. 46th St.) opened in August 2010 and features more than 100 beers, along with homemade-style American fare, such as hamburgers and french fries.
Barbetta (321 W. 46th St.), founded in 1906, is one of the oldest restaurants in New York City run by the same family. Dishes include such pastas as DeCecco penne with meat sauce, and such salads as insalata fantasia.
