Husband and wife, Andrew Feinberg and Francine Stephens, opened franny's in Prospect Park in 2004. The restaurant is open for dinner during the week, and for lunch and dinner on Saturdays and Sundays. Francine, the restaurant's namesake, and Andrew serve meals made from locally-grown and organic ingredients. Renewable energy powers the restaurant, and bio-degradable materials are used for the to-go containers. Choose from a selection of salumi -- cured meats -- such as pancetta or spicy salami for the table . Pasta dishes are available along with thin-crust, brick-oven pizzas, including olive oil and sea salt pizza, mozzarella and sausage pizza, and clams, chili and parsley pizza. Pair a pizza with the Brooklyn house cocktail, Maker's Mark, which is sweet vermouth and fresh lemon juice. Finish off the meal with a gelato or the cannalo dessert and an espresso.
