Texas has a lot of beautiful roads to explore and a climate that makes it a pleasant place to experience by motorcycle at any time of the year. As much fun as riding Texas solo can be though, sometimes it adds to the fun to join with other riders to enjoy the camaraderie of other motorcyclists. North Texas has events for motorcycle riders that range from toy runs to bike shows, providing events to appeal to a wide range of tastes.
The Big Texas Toy Run celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2010. Motorcyclists gather each December to take part in the ride that provides both a fun get together for the riders, and a great opportunity to give something back to the less fortunate children in the community. The Run's details change every year, but it starts in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and goes from there.

Held in September in Somerville, The Texas Rally provides motorcyclists a place to browse through vendors selling motorcycle oriented products, camp and visit with other riders, and listen to great bands. The event also hosts organized rides and motorcycle games as well as stage events such as the tattoo contest. Sunday religious services sponsored by the Christian Rider's Association closes the event.

This event, held in early spring, formerly took place on a Saturday. In 2010 the date moved to Sunday, and the resulting increase in attendance promised to make the change permanent. In addition to booths manned by vendors selling everything from motorcycle oil to custom seats, motorcyclists can listen to music by great bands and visit with bikers from all of North Texas.

The Bikers 4 Babies event raises money to help support unwed mothers and their infant children in the Richardson, Texas, area. The event provides free coffee and donuts for riders, as well as a free lunch, concert, raffle and auction. Like many motorcycle events, this even gives riders a chance to socialize while benefiting a group of people who need a little extra support.

The Armadillo Resort near Weatherford, sponsors a motorcycle rally in May that provides a unique experience. The Resort is a clothing optional resort that caters to families, as well as to motorcyclists. For riders who enjoy the nudist lifestyle, events at the rally include a clothing-optional fashion show as well as motorcycle games and door prizes.
