Travel between Singapore and Hawaii can be a long trip, as the areas are nearly 7,000 miles apart. In addition, as of late 2010, nonstop flights do not operate between the locations, making a change of planes necessary somewhere in between, often in Japan, Korea or the Philippines. There are no travel restrictions between Singapore and the United States, making for a smooth transition for travelers between the two countries.
Locate your passport. Citizens of Singapore and the United States only need their passports to enter Hawaii. Singapore has entered into a visa waiver agreement with the United States, facilitating easy travel between the two countries. People of other nationalities should check visa and other entry requirements before traveling.
Book your flights. Singapore passport holders will need a return flight no more than 90 days later than their initial entry into the United States if they are traveling for tourism or work. U.S. citizens do not need return tickets. Many major airlines, including U.S. and international companies, fly between the two locations.
Prepare for your trip. The travel time between Singapore and Hawaii will likely be between 16 and 20 hours, including a layover or plane change. In your carry-on bag, pack everything you will need for a comfortable trip including medications, snacks, extra clothing, entertainment and small toiletries.
Land and go through customs. All people entering the United States will have to collect your baggage and pass through customs, where you will need to declare anything of major value that you are bringing into the country. Once you have left the customs area, you may proceed to your hotel and enjoy Hawaii.
