In addition, you can request a driver's license record for another person if you have her permission or if it is for a permissible purpose as defined by the Drivers Privacy Protection Act. You can use the North Carolina DMV's online tool to request the driver's license record.
Go to the North Carolina Department of Transportation Internet driving record request web page.
Click the "Continue" button.
Follow the link to "Request a Pin."
Enter the requested information including your driver's license number, date of birth, Social Security Number, email address and a contact phone number. Click the "Continue" button. The North Carolina DMV will email you your PIN information.
Enter the driver's license number, the date of birth and the Social Security Number for the driver's license record you want to obtain. You can only access driver's license records for third parties if you have their permission or if it is for a permissible purpose as defined by the Drivers Privacy Protection Act. Enter your PIN number and click the "Continue" button.
Enter the requested payment information and indicate if you want a certified or uncertified driver's license record.
