Michelle's Fine Dining is inside the Ivy Manor Inn in Bar Harbor. The restaurant and Inn hold a AAA Motor Club four-diamond rating. Set inside an English-style Tudor home, the restaurant winds through the first floor, offering three different dining rooms. Each area has only a small number of tables, adding to the intimate feel. Small, wood-burning fireplaces are in each room. During nice weather, consider dining outdoors on the restaurant's patio, under the stars.
A specialty of the house is the bouillabaisse. The dish is intended for sharing between two and consists of local lobster, mussels, clams, shrimp, scallops and fresh catch of the day in a saffron broth. The house special dessert is the chocolate purse for two, fresh berries served in an edible chocolate bag. The restaurant has a full bar.
Michelle's Fine Dining serves dinner daily from mid-May to mid-October. The restaurant closes during the winter and early spring months. Reservations are required due to the restaurant's small size. Business casual is the attire. The Ivy Manor Inn features overnight accommodations if you wish to extend your romantic evening.
