The restaurant opened in July of 2010, and quickly had to start taking reservations for Friday and Saturday evenings. Romance and closeness is encouraged based on the fact that the meals are eaten with yours hands, and you are meant to share with your table mate. Traditional Injera bread is served with every meal. Meal selections include yaterkik alicha, which combines split peas, onions, peppers and herbs; and dinich we't which combines potatoes and carrots cooked with turmeric and assorted spices.
For a romantic vibe, reserve a table at Anthony's Home Port during the warmer moths of the year. The seating arrangements overlook the Spokane River and upper falls. Start with pan fried Willapa Bay oysters and crisp calamari with aioli, and move to a dish such as Dungeness crab fettuccine with veggies tossed in a garlic cream sauce. The focus is on premium seafood dishes, but the restaurant also serves steak and chicken-based meals, pastas and a selection of soups, chowders and salads. Reservations are recommended.

The vibe of the restaurant is meant to be romantic and dark, and the decor reflects that with mood lighting, deep wood colors and dark granite counter surfaces. Guests can choose to dine outdoors on a large open patio complete with fire pits and a bar area. Argentinean fish tacos and Moroccan beef are meat dishes from the menu that also includes a number of gourmet pizzas, pastas and salad selections.
