For some, the words cabin and resort may seem contradictory, but the campgrounds located in Western Pennsylvania prove otherwise. These cabin resorts are located in the surrounding area outside of the Hermitage/Sharon area and provide campers with all the amenities of a resort so that they can experience the great outdoors in comfort and cleanliness.
Rose Point Park Campground is a full-service campground located slightly southeast of the Hermitage/Sharon area. Visitors can choose from four different types of cabin accommodations. These include the Luxury Log Cabins, which have satellite TVs, furnished living spaces, air conditioning, a kitchen, living room, private bedroom and a full bathroom. The luxury cabins also have a loft area for additional sleeping. The Brookside Log Cabin is another spacious and furnished cabin that has the same set-up and amenities as the Luxury Cabin, without the satellite TV. The Yurts cabin is a slightly smaller cabin shaped like a dome that has a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, deck, picnic table and fire pit. The last option is the Modern Cabin, which sleeps six people, is completely furnished, has a cooking area, sink, refrigerator, table and chairs, picnic table and fire pit. Cabin amenities at the grounds include a heated swimming pool, recreation hall, games, craft classes, nearby golf, biking, and hiking trails, as well as a full-service laundry area. Reservations can be made up to a year in advance of the travel date with a deposit.
Bear Run Campground is a full-service, family-friendly campground located just southeast of the Hermitage/Sharon area. The campground offers several different cabin resorts, including the Sunset Lodge, the Mini-Lodge rentals and the Deluxe Self-Contained Log Cabins, which overlook the entire grounds and the Moraine Valley. These resort cabins feature spacious living areas, carpeted and wood floors, full-service kitchens, cookware and dishes, satellite TVs, air conditioning, heating, and private, covered decks and sitting areas. The campground amenities are plentiful and will keep guests entertained and comfortable. These amenities include kayak and canoe rentals, a snack bar, recreation areas, games, swimming pools, a children's fishing pond and planned activities.
Kozy Rest Kampground is a scenic campground located directly west of the Hermitage/Sharon area. The site offers full-service resort cabins for those who enjoy all the features of home while camping. These furnished cabin resort units feature a kitchen space with basic appliances, a bathroom, kitchenware and dishes, a queen sized bed, a full sized bed, bunk beds and an outdoor eating area with a fire pit. Area attractions and activities include hiking, biking, rock climbing, Moraine State Park's Lake Arthur, Living Treasures Animal Park, Grove City's Prime Outlet Mall and the scenic Dutch country area of Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.
Located in Sandy Lake just northeast of the Hermitage/Sharon area, Goddard Park VacationLand Campground is one of Western Pennsylvania's biggest cabin campground resorts. Campers can choose from four different accommodation options, including the Deluxe cabin, which features, a private bathroom, cable TV, a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, propane grill and bed linens. The campground facilities feature full-service laundry areas, snack shops, playgrounds, play rooms, pools, golf, fishing and planned activities for guests. Planned activities range from massage therapy, weekend movies, bingo nights to ceramic classes.
