    Portland Regency Hotel

    • This historic hotel is one block off of the waterfront but is a large part of the historic Old Port Exchange and Portland's history. Built in 1865, this building was once considered one of the finest armories in New England. After a colorful military career, the building was abandoned as surplus and taken over by the city in 1962. After changing hands a couple of times it was purchased and converted to a hotel, opening in 1987.
