Gatorland is one of Orlando’s oldest attractions, and is a low-tech 110-acre theme park and wildlife preserve that is known as the “Alligator Capital of the World.” Within the park are thousands of alligators and crocodiles to interact with, a breeding marsh with a boardwalk and observation tower, reptilian shows, an aviary, a petting zoo, and a swamp walk. Gatorland offers adventure tours for interested tourists (at an additional fee) and includes the Trainer for a Day program, Gator Night Shine, Adventure Hour, and Rookie Wrestling. Birding tours are available through the breeding marsh, and is an after-hours Gatorland event that introduces visitors to 20 different bird species.

Discovery Cove is a water-based tropical theme park that includes animal encounters and relaxation opportunities.
