All steaks are displayed in a case, allowing diners to view what is available each evening before making their entree selection. Among the selections available are a 30-oz. porterhouse, a 20-oz. bone-in New York strip and a 9-oz. filet mignon stuffed with Gorgonzola cheese and portabella mushrooms. All of the entrees include the restaurant's soup and salad bar, a baked potato and Texas toast. The restaurant has a full bar. The Butcher Shop Steakhouse serves dinner nightly.     Folk's Folly Prime Steak House

    • Situated in the east end of Memphis, Folk's Folly Prime Steak House opened for business in 1977. The restaurant has been credited with serving the "Best Steak" in Memphis by all four local newspapers, according to the restaurant's website. All of the beef at Folk's is USDA prime, including the 28-oz. porterhouse and the 22-oz. cowboy ribeye. A signature presentation is the Maker's Mark medallions, filet mignon topped with a peppercorn sauce made from bourbon. The menu is a la carte with 18 sides available including hand-breaded onion rings, spinach casserole and garlic and leek mashed potatoes.     Side Porch Steak House

    • A family-owned and operated establishment, the Side Porch Steak House is in the Bartlett neighborhood of Memphis. The menu features five steaks: 14-oz. ribeye and New York strip steaks, a 20-oz. T-bone and 8- and 12-oz. filets. All of the steaks come with a salad and a choice of steak fries, baked regular or sweet potato or vegetable medley. The restaurant has a full bar and serves eight varieties of wine.
