Moody Gardens is truly a fun and unique Texas destination. Beginning as a hippotherapy riding program for those with head injuries, Moody Gardens now boasts a convention center, hotel and spa, golf course, three pyramids and an internationally recognized hippotherapy program as well as a horticultural therapy program. Not just an aquarium, the Texas State Aquarium has exhibits that range from the Hawn Wild Flight Theater with exotic animals and bird of prey, to Stingray Flats, a large outdoor touch pool where you can meet the stingrays up close and in person.
