Minnesota has a number of fun places to visit for both families and individuals. A number of the best locations are found near the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, some of which are near the international airport. Additional locations make use of the vast woodlands and lakes that exist throughout the state, focusing on outdoor entertainment and fishing.

The second-largest lake in Minnesota, Mille Lacs is centralized in the middle of the state. The lake stretches across 132,500 acres and features a variety of fishing, both in shallow and deep waters. Also along the shoreline are a number of resorts and campgrounds.
The Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome is a domed stadium located in downtown Minneapolis. It features a number of sporting events and entertainment for tens of thousands of fans. The most notable events include Minnesota Vikings games, monster truck shows and motorcross as well as concerts.
The Science Museum of Minnesota focuses on the study of technology, physical science, natural history and mathematics. Located on the Mississippi River, it has a strong emphasis on the ecosystem of Minnesota.
Situated on a man-made lake, Mystic Lake Casino Hotel is one of the largest centers of gambling and entertainment in the Midwest. Less than a half hour from Minneapolis-St. Paul, the casino also features a 600-room hotel, convention center, RV park and golf course.
