Minnesota is one of the wettest states in America, graced by more than 11,000 lakes and nearly 70,000 miles of streams and rivers. For this reason, many travelers visit Minnesota looking to partake in aquatic activities like boating or fishing. The state offers plenty to do on dry land, as well. Residents and visitors alike will find fun things to do across the state.
Minnesota features several amateur and professional sports teams, few as revered as the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League. The team, which has been in operation since 1961 and won the NFL championship in 1969, plays out of Mall of America Field located in Minneapolis. The team plays eight home games per season, with tickets available at the box office, on the team's website or through ticket brokers or auction sites like eBay. Games are held rain or shine.
