Situated in Tofte, the Cobblestone Cabins are on the northern shore of Lake Superior and offer eight cabins for rent. All of the cabins have waterfront views of the lake and are within 50 feet of one another. The cabins have fully furnished kitchens, living rooms and private porches. Of the eight cabins, six of the cabins are two-bedroom units, while two of them have one bedroom. None of the cabins allow pets or smoking. Amenities at the Cobblestone Cabins resort include a private cobblestone beach on the lake, playground and picnicking areas with barbecue grills. The resort also provides kayaks and canoes for their rental guests. Nightly and weekly rentals are available.
The Penmarallter Campsite is in Twin Falls, Minnesota, approximately 45 minutes north of Duluth. This RV campground provides 24 pull-through campsites with hook-ups for water and electricity. Sewage hook-ups are offered at five of the campsites. Each campsite has a picnic table, fire pit and barbecue grill. Firewood for the fire pits is available at the campground's office. Daily, weekly and monthly rental rates are available. Primitive camping is allowed, but only daily and weekly rates are available for these sites. Penmarallter Campsite features include a dump station, shower facilities and access to Wi-Fi Internet throughout the campgrounds. Pets are allowed to stay on the campgrounds, but they must be on a leash.
Beacon Pointe, located in Duluth, is on the southern end of Minnesota's Lake Superior coastline. Daily and monthly rental rates are available for guest suites and one-, two- and three-bedroom units. These units include kitchens and private balconies overlooking the lake. Beacon Pointe also offers timeshares for its rooms. Resort amenities include a year-round indoor swimming pool, a fitness center and massage services. The resort is a five-minute drive from shops and restaurants in downtown Duluth. Duluth Harbor Basis is approximately 15 minutes south of the resort. This area offers fishing piers and boating marinas. During the winter, Beacon Pointe renters are less than 20 minutes from the Snowflake Nordic Ski Center, which offers trails for cross-country skiing.
