Lake Maria Cabins in Minnesota

Lake Maria covers just over 100 acres in central Minnesota. Surrounded by the 1,580-acre Lake Maria State Park, the area provides a combination of land and water recreation from fishing and boating to hiking and camping. The park offers three cabins near the lake that provide an additional lodging experience.
  1. Cabins

    • The log camper cabins in Lake Maria State Park consist of a room with three pairs of bunk beds and the occasional wooden table and bench. The cabins offer a warmer alternative to tent camping outside and come with a wood stove, but no electricity or running water.

    Facilities

    • The cabins do not include a bathroom, but a vault toilet sits nearby. The park's Visitor Center also provides flush toilets and showers.

    Reservations

    • You must reserve cabins three to 90 days in advance at Lake Maria State Park. Make reservations online through the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources website or by calling 866-857-2757. You are required to pay all fees in advance, but the park offers a cancellation policy on all reservations.

    Considerations

    • The only parking in the area is a half mile to one mile away from the cabins, so prepare to carry all of your gear to the cabin. The park provides firewood for free, but campers must bring everything else including food, and the only cooking option is outside in the fire pit. Pets are not allowed in the cabins.
