Originally a deer park when it was established in 1875, the Buffalo Zoo has animals such as Siberian tigers, rock hyrax, Puerto Rican crested toads and Lady Moss' plantain eaters. The Tifft Nature Preserve was opened in 1976, and it features shorebirds, flycatchers, and red and white-winged crossbills.

Originally a metal factory when it was opened in 1916, the Original American Kazoo Factory is a museum and metal kazoo factory that features kazoo exhibits and demonstrations on how kazoos are made. At the Buffalo Museum of Science, one can see exhibits on dinosaur fossils, and the formation of galaxies and interactive lessons on traditional clothes from other countries and the study of bones.
Located on the Niagara River Gorge in Lewiston, Artpark is a public park used as a public art space. At this park, one can observe artists working on different types of visual artwork and/or watch concerts or professional theatrical productions.
