Places to Go Camping in Louisiana

Louisiana, located in the southern United States, is home to the Kisatchie National Forest, in the central part of the state, and the Georgia Pacific Wildlife Management Area, which offers opportunities for fishing and hunting.     • Nakatosh Campground is on the western edge of Natchitoches, right off Interstate 49, and it is only a five-minute drive from fishing and boating opportunities in Sibley Lake. The amenities at this resort include a recreation center with a game room, a guest laundromat, a dump station, free access to Wi-Fi Internet and shower facilities.     • Vidalia's River View RV Park, situated in eastern Louisiana, is only a mile away from Vidalia Landing on the Mississippi River. This resort is less than 10 minutes from gaming opportunities at Isle of Capri Casino in Natchez, Mississippi. Campground amenities include picnicking areas with barbecue grills, an outdoor swimming pool and whirlpool tub, a guest laundromat, a propane station and storage units. A convenience store on the campground's property offers groceries and RV supplies. The 193 RV parking sites have electric, water, cable television and sewage hookups. Tent camping is also allowed.

    Hidden Ponds RV Park

    • Situated in southwestern Louisiana, the Hidden Ponds RV Park is within 20 minutes of fishing and boating at Lake Charles and Calcasieu Lake.
