Gay clubs throughout South Carolina provide the state's Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) community with a place to dance and be themselves. Some South Carolina clubs require membership for admittance, while others are open to the public with a cover charge. These clubs offer nightly drink specials, seasonal events and shows and sometimes free cover charges. Clubs are not exclusive to the gay community; all who are friends of the community are welcome.
De'Ja Vu II is a club in North Charleston that has been in business for over 14 years. Club-goers enjoy the dance floor, pool tables, games and stage. Patrons can order pub foods like chicken wings, sandwiches, finger foods and nightly specials from the club's kitchen. De'Ja Vu II features different stage acts throughout the year; the club hosts bands, variety shows and drag shows. The club regularly contributes to Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender causes throughout the community.

PT's 1109 is a public gay club in the new Vista area of Columbia, however, there are special perks available to club members. The club has a different drink special each night and special events throughout the year, including dance and talent shows. Dancing, socializing and karaoke are common activities at the club. In addition to a fun nighttime atmosphere, PT's 1109 dedicates itself to community service through its affiliation with Sue Kuehlen's Camp for Kids, which is dedicated to children and families of children affected by HIV.

Club Castle is a private gay club in Greenville. Regular memberships can be purchased for $10.00 and VIP memberships for $40.00. VIP membership benefits include a $2.00 cover charge, reserved parking and half-price cover for up to five nonmember guests. The regular cover charge for members over age 21 is $5.00. The club accepts membership for people under age 21, with a higher cover charge of $10.00 per night. Under 21 members are welcome during all hours of club operation. All members can bring nonmember guests for a $7.00 cover charge. The club has special events and drink specials throughout the year, including birthday bashes, contests and drag shows.
