Wilmington, Delaware is home to several gay clubs and is also a short drive to Philadelphia, which features its own gay neighborhood with numerous gay bars and clubs. Most Wilmington gay clubs feature a full bar, often with televisions playing music videos as well as a dance club accompanied by assorted area DJs. Weekly specials are often offered, including karaoke, happy hour, college and drag show nights.
Crimson Moon Tavern markets itself as an alternative to big city nightclubs. The club features a first floor video bar with five televisions playing both "old school" music videos and the latest dance and club hits. The second floor is a bar and dance club called ImPulse featuring a DJ playing house, dance, hip hop and trance music. New DJs are often featured to keep the club's music scene fresh. Club X is a gay and lesbian-friendly bar in Wilmington with a downstairs full bar and upstairs dance club. Weekly specials include karaoke and drink specials on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Male dancers from Philadelphia join Club X dancers on Saturdays and there is a monthly drag show. Free parking, video games and pool tables are available. Food is served at the bar and there is a cover charge. The club is a non-smoking building and is closed on Mondays.

The Double L Bar is the only "leather and bear" bar/club in Delaware and is located in Rohoboth Beach about 90 minutes from Wilmington. The bar is open daily from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. and features the largest dance floor in Rohoboth. The bar also includes video bowling, pinball, Megatouch machines, happy hour, live concerts, an outdoor patio and weekly events such as "Mr. Double L Contest" where contestants appear onstage in their formal leatherwear. Poise, attitude and speaking clearly are also judged. The MANdance Party is every Saturday night starting at 10 p.m. and features a DJ.
