Lake Michigan is the only one of the Great Lakes located entirely within the borders of the United States. It is bordered by Michigan, Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin. Boat tours are available of Lake Michigan from many ports.
About a dozen different companies offer sightseeing boat tours around the Chicago area of Lake Michigan. Some tours include lunch or dinner, and some head up the Chicago River as well, focusing on the architecture that can be seen from the river.
