Crab Restaurants Between Baltimore & Annapolis

Maryland's Chesapeake Bay area is known for seafood; Baltimore calls itself the City of Steamed Crabs, and the Chesapeake Bay Blue Crab is the city's unofficial mascot. Between Baltimore and Maryland's capital city, Annapolis, there are a plethora of crab restaurants with a wide variety of crab-themed dishes to appease discerning seafood lovers.

  1. Seaside Restaurant and Crab House

    • Seaside has been in the crab business since 1992. The menu runs features items like fried hard crab, crab fluff, crab cakes, lobster tail, filet mignon, seafood pasta and steamed crab. Seaside has two locations between Baltimore and Annapolis; one in Glen Burnie and one in Pasadena, which serve breakfast Saturday and Sunday.

    The Crab Depot

    • Featuring dishes ranging from $6 to $35, The Crab Depot has clams, shrimp, catfish, scallops, oysters and crab cakes, as well as non-seafood items like chicken strips, wings, and onion rings. Of course, crab is also available by the bushel, as well as oysters. The Crab Depot caters, and it offers party platters ranging from $31 to $140, as of September 2010.

    The Cheshire Crab

    • Featuring live music on weekends and valet boating, The Cheshire Crab has a menu with non-seafood items like New York Strip, Baby Back Ribs and burgers. With 6 different kinds of shrimp, lobster rolls, oysters and a wide variety of crab, the Cheshire Crab is a place for crab lovers to relax with $2 draft (as of September 2010) and the occasional trivia night.
