Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, is--for many--synonymous with golf. Along the Grand Strand area, there are more than 100 golf courses for the golf enthusiast. If you only want to play a quick round, though, or perhaps practice your short game before taking on a more challenging course, then playing a nine-hole par 3 or executive course with mostly par 3 and par 4 holes is the way to go. Myrtle Beach has several popular executive courses that offer a shortened round of golf.
Midway Par 3 boasts three executive golf courses near the Myrtle Beach International Airport: the East Course, the West Course and the North Course. Midway offers golfers the opportunity to play "situation golf" where you can begin the hole from the usual mat or start in a challenging lie in order to improve your short game before you move on to the longer courses. This gives you the opportunity to work on areas you want to improve in your game.

Lights are on for night play, and the driving range is available for practice shots. These courses have been in existence since the 1980s and are a popular spot for a round of par 3 golf.
