Suffolk County encompasses communities in the eastern-most portion of Long Island.   1. Long Island Ducks

    • The Long Island Ducks play baseball games from April to September within the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. The 6,000-seat Suffolk County Sports Park hosts every Ducks home game. The Duck Club within the main concourse is a bar and grill; fans can also purchase Ducks T-shirts, hats and posters at the Waddle In Shop. Members of the Kids Club receive free tickets, stadium tours and team yearbooks. Young baseball players can attend summer clinics hosted by the Long Island Ducks and the Long Island Sports Academy.

    Duck Walk Vineyards

    • Duck Walk Vineyard features 140 acres of vineyards at locations in Southold and Water Mill. Visitors can take free tours of the vineyards each weekend from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The vineyard hosts tastings throughout the year where patrons can sample five wines for $4 as of September 2010. Patrons can purchase house vintages like the Gatsby Red every day except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day at the wine shop. Live Music on the Patio combines live classical music with food and wine tastings from May to October.

    Montauk Point Lighthouse Museum & Gift Shop

    • Montauk Point Lighthouse Museum & Gift Shop hosts a trio of exhibition spaces celebrating maritime history. The Gilmartin Galleries focus on fishing gear from the 19th century whaling industry. The Museum Parlor presents letters from George Washington and Thomas Jefferson in which the Presidents support funding for the lighthouse. Visitors can also review the museum's photograph collection to see the lighthouse throughout the ages. The Conway Visitors Center houses a gift shop as well as an outdoor patio looking out onto the Block Island Sound. The museum hosts seasonal open houses, Fourth of July fireworks and Christmas at the Lighthouse.

    Adventureland Amusement Park

    • Adventureland Amusement Park in Farmingdale operates rides and attractions from March through October. Visitors can reach high speeds at the Hurricane Coaster and Pirate Ship. Children can enjoy rides ranging from the Antique Cars to the Balloon Tower. The park also offers water rides like Adventure Falls to cool off families in the summer heat. The Bavarian Souvenir Shoppe offers candies, ceramics and other souvenirs within the park.
