The bar was formerly located inside of a cave carved out of the side of a mountain. Before the cave was made into a bar, it was used as a jail as well as for a moonshine storage tunnel. It was shut down during the Prohibition era, and was re-opened in 1933. One of the many perks of the Cave Bar was that it always stayed around 65 degrees, which would keep patrons and performers nice and cool. In order to keep with this tradition, The Cave is now located in a basement.

The Apache Grove, the other bar in Clifton, Ariz., is just off of Mountain Lion Road. (The bar's exact address is not listed.) The bar has a three-star rating with UserInstinct.Com.
Club Planet says of the Apache Grove Bar: "In need of a quick drink without the hassle of a doorman? The Apache Grove Bar will do the trick". The site claims that the bar also has a host of regulars, and it also says that everyone knows each others' names and has their own seat at the bar.

The club is privately owned, and employs only one to four people. Club earnings are typically just under $500,000 a year, and it has been in business since 2006.
