Thousands of people travel to numerous bluegrass and gospel events across Tennessee. Intertwined with country, jazz and blues, you can hear the sweet sounds of an acoustic guitar, fiddle and banjo. Many events in Tennessee not only have live entertainment, but games and mouth-watering southern food.
The annual three-day Dumplin Valley Bluegrass Festival takes place in September. You can purchase a weekend pass for $85. Admission for the first day cost $25, admissions for day two and three are $30 per day as of 2010. Children 12-years-old and younger are free. Prior performers include G2, Next Best Thing, Shadow Ride, Rhonda Vincent & The Rage and the Lonesome River Band.

Every year in October, the Raccoon Valley Bluegrass Festivals comes to Powell, Tennessee. The festival has crafts, games, vendors and plenty of food. You can also look at the antique vehicles and the antique museum. Live entertainment plays through the festival. Performers include Shaw Ridge, The Real McCoy and White Water. If you need a place to stay, rustic campgrounds are available on the premises. The cost is $15 per adult and free for children 10 years old and under as of 2010.

The White Oak Mountain Bluegrass Festival runs every year in Cleveland, Tennessee. The event provides live music, a band competition, food and games. Some performers include Dehlia Low, Dismembered Tennesseans and Dailey & Vincent. Tickets for kids ages five-years-old and under are free, ages six-to 12-years-old cost $5 and adults pay $20 as of 2010.
